Recipes of the Month

“I wonder what the food at the nursery tastes like?” – this is a question many parents might ask. To help them out, we’re sharing our ‘kitchen secrets’: every month, we post the recipes for the dishes that the children have particularly enjoyed on our website.

Parents may already be familiar with the Public Catering Regulation (EMMI Regulation No. 37/2014; IV. 30.), which sets out what and how much children can eat in public catering settings. Although the regulation does tie our hands in many respects, alongside the restrictions we are able to use a wide variety of new ingredients, ensuring that the children’s diet is very diverse. We have introduced and updated a whole host of new recipes during this short period, and we can only encourage you to try them at home!

Meals for the Children at Our Nurseries

Meals for the Children at Our NurseriesOpen details

In our nurseries, we place great emphasis on children’s meals, as a healthy diet is one of the cornerstones of proper physical and mental development.

We provide every child with a diet containing the appropriate energy and nutrient content for their age, spread over four meals a day. Of the four meals (two main meals and two snacks), three must be complete meals, meaning they must also contain protein of animal origin.

One of our main aims is to use nutrition as a starting point for teaching children about health. When planning the menus, our specialists take great care to introduce the children to as many organic foods and dishes made from them as possible, and to help them develop a taste for them.

We consider the consumption of fresh fruit and vegetables to be important, which is why the children are served seasonal produce with every meal. Our nurseries also offer baked goods made from wholemeal grains several times a week.

We strive to source Hungarian ingredients. We purchase high-quality products from all our food suppliers, which are the most beneficial from a nutritional and physiological point of view.

We always strive to ensure that every child is well fed; consequently, the children’s opinions also play a significant role in our work.
