Mini-Manó Nursery

The Mini-Manó Nursery is located in the heart of the 8th District, in an easily accessible spot surrounded by tree-lined parks.

In our renovated yard, in addition to the installed playground equipment, the children who attend our nursery can also use portable play equipment such as bicycles, tricycles, toy motorcycles, and seesaws. All of our early childhood educators consider daily outdoor time to be essential to the children’s nursery experience.

We have our own kitchen. We provide four meals a day based on a menu developed by our nutritionist. At every meal, the children are served dishes prepared from fresh ingredients.

Fourteen early childhood educators are responsible for the children’s care. Most of our early childhood educators hold a degree and have professional qualifications based on that degree, and they engage in ongoing professional development. They incorporate the knowledge they have acquired into their educational work, including storytelling, puppetry, paper theatre, and creative activities. Four nannies assist them in their work with the groups.

We have set up a gym in the facility, complete with wall bars and a swing.

During the fall and winter months, children can also use the salt room—of course, only with parental consent and under the supervision of early childhood educators. The salt room also features a salt sandbox.

There are six groups at the nursery.

The toy collection is appropriate for the children’s age groups and adapts to their developmental needs. The quality and quantity of the toys meet professional standards, ensuring the children’s optimal physical, emotional, and intellectual development.

Maintaining good relationships with families and fostering ongoing cooperation are key components of our nursery’s mission. For this reason, each educational year we organise several programmes to which families are invited.

• Starting Nursery – a morning of playful exploration of nursery life,
• St. Martin’s Day Celebrations – a lantern parade around the nursery, followed by a communal dinner,
• Creative Advent Preparations,
• Easter Preparations,
• Mother’s Day Celebration – using the Ringató method,
• Starting Kindergarten – end-of-year celebration combined with a dance party,
• Father’s Day.

We liven up the children’s daily lives at the nursery with various activities: harvest festival, walnut harvest, St. Nicholas Day celebration (awaiting Santa Claus), getting into the Christmas spirit, end-of-winter carnival festivities, Easter egg hunt, flower planting, Teddy Bear Hospital (Teddy kórház, a presentation to help children overcome their fear of the white coat of doctors), police demonstration, Children’s Day, and—for the appropriate age groups—we also visit the botanical garden.
